Courtney Bent

Producer & Project Founder

213 Courtney Bent is an award winning photographer and filmmaker whose work has taken her from Masaii Camps in East Africa to Death Row in the United States. She has been the recipient of over 30 awards and grants for her work including the Golden Light Award for best educational photography program, the Doreen Arbus Focus on Disability grant from the Woman in Film Foundation, three American With Disabilities Act Grants from VSA- the International Organization on Arts and Disability, as well as grants from the LEF Foundation and the Fledgling Fund. When not taking pictures and producing documentary films, Courtney is teaching photography workshops throughout the U.S., using her 20 years of teaching experience to work with and encourage new photographers of all ages and abilities. Courtney lives in New Hampshire with her two children and two cats.

George Kachadorian


George Kachadorian, Emmy-nominated filmmaker and television producer, is the director of Shooting Beauty, winner of over 20 National film festival awards. In 2006 George directed the award-winning documentary, Divining Mom, which was immediately hailed as “an impressive non-fiction debut” by Variety. George has produced non-fiction television shows and series for clients such as ABC News, PBS, the Discovery Channel, Bravo, the History Channel and the Travel Channel. In 2006 he received an Emmy nomination for a documentary about Wall Street which he co-produced and edited for the Discovery Times Channel. In 2008, PBS’ Frontline World released “A Family Erased” – George’s account of his family’s search for answers at the epicenter of the Armenian Genocide. Lorie Borges

Director of Outreach

Lorie Borges is the Director of Outreach for Shooting Beauty. Lorie joined the Shooting Beauty Team in 2010 with the desire to combine her passion for social causes and the arts with her 25 year background in marketing and development. After her time as a new business Account Executive for advertising giant J. Walter Thompson, Lorie followed her passion for the arts and helped to produce, co-author and publish the highly acclaimed book, Final Exposure: Portraits From Death Row. When not working on Shooting Beauty’s outreach campaign, Lorie spends her time with her husband and two children in Nevada.


Cheryl Hines

Presenter of Film

Emmy-nominated actress, Cheryl Hines, is the presenter of Shooting Beauty. After seeing Shooting Beauty at a film festival in Los Angeles, Cheryl immediately signed on to become part of the Shooting Beauty team. Cheryl, who has long dedicated herself to education and disability causes is best known for her role as Larry David’s wife on HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm and most recently for her leading role as Dallas Royce in the ABC sitcom, Suburgatory. She is on the Board of Trustees for United Cerebral Palsy and was the executive producer of School Pride, a seven-part TV series about transforming public school buildings.
