Shooting Beauty in collaboration with the Best Buddies chapter of the CAB Calloway School of the Arts was the focus of a day long event aimed at raising awareness around language & disability and promoting a culture of respect. After seeing Shooting Beauty at the Best Buddies National Leadership Conference, Christine Allen, student and president of Best Buddies at CAB Calloway worked with Erin S
ullivan, teacher and founder of the chapter, to bring Courtney and Shooting Beauty to their school. Courtney visited classes and presented the film which received a standing ovation from the 850 students and staff. It was a honor to be part of this event. Thank you CAB Calloway!

Andreaea LaVant, Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital Inclusion Specialist & one of Shooting Beauty's project developers, joined Molly Murphy of Working Films at the "Reel Change: Managing Social Issue Film Campaigns" training to case study Shooting Beauty in a session titled 'Partnerships that Work'.

Congratulations to The Meadows School's Best Buddies Chapter in Las Vegas, NV, for creating a wonderful exhibit of photographs from their Shooting Beauty inspired workshop! Back in January, our Director of Outreach, Lorie Borges, presented Shooting Beauty to the Meadow School's Best Buddies and from there, the group worked together to create a photo exhibit of their own! See the photos below from their photo excursions and exhibit.

Life Skills, an orginzation that serves individuals with developmental disabilities in the St. Louis area, watched Shooting Beauty back in June and decided to create their own photo program. With great success they launched a photography program, and had an amazing exhibit of the work they produced. Click on the camera to see the video they created about their program! Congratulations to Life Skills and all it's new photographers!

Women and Girls Lead is an innovative public media initiative designed to focus, educate, and connect women, girls, and their allies across the globe to address the challenges of the 21st century.
